Happy Earth Day! Those of you who read this blog regularly will know it has been a year since my last post. I apologize. There have been a lot of things with a lot of drama around here. I just wanted to share this video on Earth Day.

Mufasa’s Lesson 2
… but when Scar become’s king, he organizes the hyenas and the lions, and together they devour all the food on the land.
Mufasa’s kingdom was left to nature, following the ‘circle of life’ (see the previous post).
In a circle, you return to the same point throughout time. In my lifetime, human population has doubled. And along with ourselves, we have our livestock, our farms, and our machines. All of these require energy to do what they do.
Because of the enormous amount of energy required, we treated our lands the way Scar’s kingdom treated Pride Rock. Rather than a circular relationship with nature it has been a linear one. Our population has doubled, while the wildlife – the plants and animals on Earth -is now one half.
