I am driven to write about cars as I am in car lover central (South Korea). Here in Gwangju, home of the Kia Tigers, we have our KIAs, aka ‘K’ backwards ‘N’s.

Sadly the Kia EV6 , while being mentioned as a great car, lost out to it’s cousin, the Hyundai Ionic 5. I see both of them often on the streets of Gwangju. The EV6 has the look of a rocket, and I know it also has a rocket like acceleration. The Ionic 5, has a unique look.

In architecture school we had a saying – form follows function. But, when I look at the form of the Ionic 5, I am puzzled. What is the function that its form is showing? I don’t know, but I agree it is a ‘cracking looking machine’.

When I was looking at EVs on Youtube, I’d pause to see the boot – boot space is very practical. And, I was persuaded by this commentator. I would choose the Skoda Enyaq4. Which one would you choose?
