Our next stop, the 6th station on the Green Line, is by Lake Arenal. This area is a heavily forested, colorful, rain forest. We are carrying our surfing gear to the sailboarding camp. 

Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself;

It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. 

 We had envisioned ourselves on the sailboard, tacking back and forth in a harness, turning 180 degrees while maintaining enough momentum, everything in balance, effortless, getting some air…

It did not work out that way.

On the hike, which was exhausting, we came across a tapir. It’s a large mammal, but not as large as some of the rhinos that used to exist in Africa, although the two animals are related. It’s got the face of a baby elephant.
