We parked our cycles and spent the night in a square structure. It has stone walls and a double-layered greenhouse roof. We warm ourselves by a fireplace. (and cook some lyodur tschaman for dinner).
In the morning, we followed along the river on foot. This area has upturned rocks covered in snow. It is not meant for cycling. But, as this has become a well-traveled path, there has been an accumulation of technological assistance.
People have been rearranging the rocks to make the ground easier to travel. The glacier-smart goggles can notice this and highlight it for us. Even with wind-blown snow cover, glacier-smart goggles show the ground that has been manipulated. We are a line of worker ants, stopping now and then to prepare the ground for those to follow.
