Today in the fjords, we went sea kayaking.
These kayaks are also composed of recycled plastic from the oceans.
Each personal sea kayak comes with an AI guide. Our guides simultaneously took us to meet some beluga whales.
We simultaneously came upon a pod of 10 beluga whales. The interpreter said they were foraging for capelin.
By lunchtime, we had made our way out of the fjord. So we stopped on the rocks and had a great picnic, attracting a flock of entertaining puffins.
After lunch, the AI detected something grand and increasingly common this far north, the largest species ever to live on Earth – the blue whale.
The humongous whale was nice enough, to pause long enough, for us to photograph him. The memory would surely last without documentation. But it will be a joy to reload it one day.
According to the interpreter, the blue whale found Ann and Slate the most impressive among us. Ann, the youngest female in our group, was delighted to hear this.
