Reflecting on the Ojibwa customs of having the courage and helping others, we volunteered at The Fair all day. Today is our day to connect with children, a joy. We spoke about the wildlands and just had fun with them. The fair lasted into the evening.
The people managing the fair took care of our food and housing. There was a feeling of connectedness in this journey of life.
The Ojibwa medicine wheel has four sections. These sections can represent many things in Ojibwa culture, such as the four seasons and the four stages of life. As we all belong to the adult stage, it was good to be with those in the childhood stage. Tomorrow we will try to fit in and connect with teenagers. We are going to a concert at the Waterfront.
