Tulsi and Z left Montañita after a farewell dinner. We had some unforgettable excursions.
The beach bums have simple lives. They will stay in South America for the winter. It should be long enough to assimilate into the culture. They will hang with other surfers and learn from one or two of them. When you live the lifestyle, you become accustomed to it: the rhythm, timing, changes, and maneuvers. To be free of angst is a blessing. And it is a blessing to have each other.
It was a sabbatical from dangerously wild animals – a time to recover emotionally. You can’t continue on with too much baggage. We thank them for sharing an unforgettable moment in our lives.
Our next destination will be different (but no dangerous animals except cougars). Patagonia is not for the feeble. We will need to be present. The road requires our attention, a spectacular grind.
We are transferring to the Peach Line, and Christine and Tonya are coming.
