I have mixed feelings about this forest condominium.

I am happy with a condominium design that takes up less space and still gives back oxygen to the neighborhood. The building’s water system was also impressive.

And I love the idea of super-sized bonsai trees in giant pots.

And I’m with the designer on the disordered way the apartments are stacked. There is a way of stacking dishes (to be dried) here in Korea, a very orderly way. But I like to stack dishes in a disordered way to let them air out.

I think a reposed living space shaded behind deciduous trees, even on the fourth level is a good plan, a great space with balconies.

Okay, I am mostly for this design. I just think the higher levels are better for living, with more sunlight. The ground level, as shown in this video, is without much sunlight… I wonder how fresh the ‘river’ water is. Also, I liked the contrast of metal and nature, so I would have highlighted it. I am recalling the building systems that are highlighted in the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

An occupant said he loved the entrance. I would not have gone for a ‘forest’ feel, but a more mixed feel: highlighting the difference between trees and iron, sealing up possibly moldy water, and adding some warm touches to welcome visitors into the building.
