At last, our pod was ready.
There was only one surprise for us on this day. Slate couldn’t bear to leave his dog, so he’s coming with us. This is a welcome development. There may well be wild carnivorous mammals and venomous reptiles. How his dog will travel and lodge with us is left undecided, but Slate has a leash in case his dog gets in trouble.
We all jumped into the pod – including a dog without a leash. The top closed before the motor turned on. And after waiting in transit for a few minutes, we were soon accelerating, cruising and decelerating to our stop.
As Mac and Maxine staggered out, we gathered at the station deck, appreciating the vista. We will take the route to Haung Temple. Hopefully, we can make a large circle, returning the station in a week.
