Native Solutions

In the future Wildlands, I imagined most people gathering and living in cities. The rest of the land would be left to nature. These lands would be under the administration of the people native to their area.In this post, I tried to write something about what that would be like.

Lyla June, in her message of hope from her research, suggests more than I wrote.

I am happy to have come across Lyla June’s video.

She gives four land management techniques from Native American history: align our efforts with the force of nature; intentional habitat expansion; de-center humans; design for perpetuity.

I believe in these ideas. As she says, we could view ourselves “as a critical piece of the ecological puzzle.”
