No Free Energy

I decided to make this my next series. I will be looking at the Michael Moore produced Planet of the Humans, for example. The energy that societies needs must be generated in sustainable ways.

From Britannica: The first law of thermodynamics asserts that energy must be conserved in any process involving the exchange of heat and work between a system and its surroundings. A machine that violated the first law would be called a perpetual motion machine…

They say that a perpetual motion free energy process would violate this first law. However, they later talk about natural forces – versus the force of gravity – when discussing the second law, entropy.

From Britannica: The second law of thermodynamics states that, in a closed system, no processes will tend to occur that increase the net organization (or decrease the net entropy) of the system. Thus, the universe taken as a whole is steadily moving toward a state of complete randomness.… a more general definition of the second law that applies to open as well as closed and isolated systems. In nature (except at cosmic scales, where gravity becomes a crucial factor), energy moves from being concentrated to being spread out; spontaneously occurring complex systems do not violate the second law…

This second law is good for men who like to blow things up. But, it is not good for societies that want a stable road for its citizens to follow.

(It’s a bit off-topic but) I recently learned that our own bodies like to follow the second law, using oxygen to blow up chemicals inside our bodies, and sending them as energy to various places inside of us. https://youtu.be/Gv3DqjBojEI. This process is slowly killing us, which is why we value antioxidants these days.
