Our next adventure is in the northern steppes, a grassland spanning north Asia.
We will transfer to the Asian Yellow Line at Ulaanbaatar. A tourist capital, it has everything someone would need for an expedition: bikes for hire, guides for hire, horses looking for employment, supplies, and education. The city is an immense vertical greenhouse.
Then we will go on a mountain biking trip. With Mac’s injury in mind, the battery can power the bike if his injury comes back to him. Or, the battery can assist in varying degree. Another advantage, bicycles or tricycles attract less wildlife than horses and refuel when parked.
Our plan is to follow the trails between Ulaanbaatar and the 12th station of the yellow line. It usually takes about a week. It looks to be an uptempo, adrenaline rush.
