Urban Agriculture 1

I have a dream about urban green spaces that I wrote about in this blog. Let’s explore what people have done in this area.

Found on Kirsten Dirksen’s youtube page

This video brings back a fond memory I have of climbing the Statue of Liberty. To see the structure of buildings before they get wrapped up has always interested me. And, to get to ascend the structure (in this video the ‘tree’, in the statue you were inside the body) is even better. I noticed they only have an elevator for equipment. So, I guess a worker could climb to the top, send up the equipment, and do the necessary work on each floor going down.

There are no vegetables for us humans to eat. Instead, it is a habitat for birds, mainly. He mentioned geckos; I wonder if they have squirrels. But, this is an interesting idea. If you can research the type of plants that attract birds in an area, you can proactively plant them. I wonder if AI will be used to do this in the future. https://www.audubon.org/PLANTSFORBIRDS

Monuments for nature, constructed in the city, these ‘grottos’ clean and decarbonize the air.
