Passing over the many bodies of water on our way to Toronto, we were able to spot quite a few birds:
- a double-crested cormorant
- Canadian geese
- a blue jay
- a kingfisher (fishing!)
- a red-breasted nuthatch
- a pileated woodpecker
In many ways, our fairings cushioned us from our environment.
- lowering the air turbulence
- blocking the sun’s heat
- shielding us from the rain
- regulating our perspiration and heat flow
- distributing the force of gravity over more of our bodies
After the rains, we made good use out of our tents. We will have a couple more chances before arriving in Toronto.
