Stephen Colbert was grimacing as he related stories about the climate crisis, and that wasn’t just about his jokes.

From some Christians I hear a belief and focus on our behavior as Judgment Day comes, and I hear from others who are like humanists, trying to improve our world. I would put Colbert into the latter group. I think it is hard for him to laugh at global warming.

I was encouraged by the efforts of Jon Batiste, his fundraiser, and concern about New Orleans. I also liked the Mother Earth bit. It wasn’t anything new, but I appreciated the spotlight on CEOs of an energy companies.

Speaking of religion, Mother Earth did not mince words. But Stephen is concerned about our world.
