We continued west along the Columbia River Gorge. This morning the rest of us joined Mac and Hyung in the water for sailboarding.
Hyung was looking good in a harness, completing smooth transitions, as was expected. Mac wasn’t doing badly, either. He has mastered the water start. And for a novice, Eugene is pretty good, if not sexy.
After returning the boards, we went to Portland, but the gates were closed. So, we spent another night in the Gorge, camping out. We barbecued some sweet corn on the cob and went to a coffee shop for coconut milk ice cream.
Hopefully, Portland is open tomorrow. It will be fun in this diverse, independent-minded, outdoors-loving city.
