Morning Alarm

Sleeping in a field, with a mild breeze blowing oxygen past us, we slept well. And there was no sense of urgency, waking up to songbirds and the sun.
But that changed in a moment. The earth began to rumble. A great herd of bison was approaching us at a lumbering gallop. The impending crash shook us to react.
We left everything, got on our bikes without fairings, and got out of the way!
We did not foresee this. We did not see any warning signs.
We are left in awe of the massive, mobile bison – but not much else. As our supplies are mostly destroyed, we are retreating to stop number 7.
